1
00:00:00.001 --> 00:00:04.820
The Lord's table, Eucharist,
in our understanding

2
00:00:04.845 --> 00:00:09.984
was meant to
bring people together

3
00:00:11.475 --> 00:00:16.883
in solidarity, in inner formation

4
00:00:16.908 --> 00:00:21.543
of the gospel which is about
unconditional love.

5
00:00:22.755 --> 00:00:26.709
As you know, Roman Catholics
will be reluctant to participate

6
00:00:26.742 --> 00:00:30.771
in Eucharist offered by Protestants.

7
00:00:30.796 --> 00:00:36.834
Protestants may be reluctant to
invite Roman Catholics or Orthodox.

8
00:00:38.258 --> 00:00:45.896
So we have got this lack of
acceptance of lordship of Jesus

9
00:00:45.921 --> 00:00:49.281
as a host at this table.

10
00:00:49.306 --> 00:00:52.904
So we often say
this is not our table.

11
00:00:52.929 --> 00:00:54.888
This is not our Eucharist.

12
00:00:54.913 --> 00:01:02.521
This is Lord Jesus and Lord
Jesus is inviting everybody

13
00:01:03.267 --> 00:01:05.951
regardless whether
they are Roman Catholics,

14
00:01:05.976 --> 00:01:11.436
Anglicans or Muslims or Hindus
and whomever they are

15
00:01:11.461 --> 00:01:15.532
because love does not have boundaries.

16
00:01:15.557 --> 00:01:22.072
And this table, Eucharistic table,
is about boundaryless love of Christ.

17
00:01:22.097 --> 00:01:29.470
And therefore,
we never hesitate to share fruit,

18
00:01:29.495 --> 00:01:35.714
of the food from this table
with anybody.

19
00:01:35.739 --> 00:01:40.042
Obviously Muslims cannot
participate in Eucharist

20
00:01:40.067 --> 00:01:45.878
in wine but they are never
reluctant to accept bread

21
00:01:45.903 --> 00:01:54.643
which is offered from us to
them in the name of Christ

22
00:01:54.668 --> 00:02:00.943
as a sign of peace,
as a sign of reconciliation

23
00:02:00.968 --> 00:02:05.796
as a sign of common past
and common future.

24
00:02:06.520 --> 00:02:10.164
And I think it is as simple as that.
